Location: Ayamonte, Spain. On the border with Portugal in the Algarve.
The El Rincon del Golf apartments are situated on the resort island of Isla Canela. The island is famous for its fantastic golden, sandy beach over 7 km long, its beautiful promenade, beach restaurants, water sports and an 18 hole golf course.
Isla Canela is connected by a bridge to the traditional Andalusian town of Ayamonte. This town is full of activity all year round. The town has narrow streets, squares shaded by palm trees and many fine restaurants and cafes. Join the local families at midnight in the town square where everyone socialises. The shops and boutiques are a temptation. Every Saturday morning there is a market for clothes and shoes where you can get bargains. In Ayamonte you can experience the "real" Spain.
The El Rincon del Golf apartments are about 1.5 km from the old town and the sandy beaches. The secure development with private parking overlooks the Isla Canela golf course.

Getting There
Isla Canela is easily accessible from both Faro and Seville. Faro airport in Portugal is just 50 minutes drive on the P1/E1 motorway. Seville is an hour and 1/2 on the motorway and it is well sign posted. There are regular flights from Ireland to Faro and Seville. Try www.aerlingus.com , www.ryanair.com , www.airluxor.com , www.steintravel.ie for low cost flights. Aer Lingus now has direct flights from Cork to Faro.
In addition there are many charter flights which can be booked through your local travel agent. A car is recommended and can be booked through all the major rental companies. Be aware that some companies charge an extra fee if you are hiring a car in Portugal but driving it in Spain. Hertz do not charge an extra fee.

This charge includes a cleaning fee of 75, all bed linen, electricity and towels. We ask that you bring your own towels for the beach. There is a 60 discount for 2 weeks and 120 for 3 weeks. Payments accepted in £STG cheque, Irish Euro Cheque or Euro bank tranfer. Deposit on booking is 30% with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of 150 is payable with the final balance.
Bookings are generally from Saturday to Saturday but this is negotiable during off peak months. The apartment can be rented for shorter periods also, please contact us for details. If you wish to holiday with another family, we may be able to arrange the rental of another apartment, of the same high standard in El Rincon del Golf.
